How to use the RockyBoy mapboards

How to assemble RockyBoy mapboard? Simply!

1. The RockyBoy mapboard consists of two main parts - the basement and the board. If you look at a bike with the installed mapboard from left/right side, the correct position of the board is when parallel to the ground = no air resistance. Basement with longer non-bended (back) leg is universal - it fits to most commonly used bike stems and handlebars. Put the shorter (front) legs protected by rubber pieces on the bars.
2. Bend back leg according to the angle and the length of the stem in such a way, that the parallel position of the board is guaranteed. For longer stems (> 8 cm) you can bend it "backward" (all bended parts are visible from helicopter view), for shorter stems bend the single leg "forward" (two bended parts are visible, third is "hidden").
3. The bended part of the back leg is approx. 2 cm - it should look as the front legs. Cut the rest. Now the position of RockyBoy´s board is parallel to the ground.
4. Fix front legs to the handlebars with tight tape or by water hose tightening fittings (can be part of the delivery).
5. Connect back leg to the stem - either with a plastic stripe or the tape.
6. Insert the screw into the hole in the board.
7. Insert the screw with the board into the hole in the basement.
8. Place the metallic washer and the nut to the screw.
9. Tight the nut according to the desired vulnerability of the board (use a screwdriver and a 10 mm wrench). The nut contains internal silicon ring which doesn´t allow the board release.

How to operate PilotOne and RockyBoy mapboards? Easily and quickly!

When inserting a map, release both rubber loops and open the transparent foil from 3 sides (4th side is taped and can´t be released). Insert a map and install all 3 rubber loops to the hooks.

How to maintain PilotOne and RockyBoy mapboards? Minimally!

When dirty or dusty, wash the transparent foil carefully with cold water. Then let it dry. Check if the board vulnerability is appropriate - if not, fasten or release the screw against the nut. Replace approximately once a year the nut with an identical new one. Protect the foil surface during transport. When the basement is assembled and tuned to a specific bike, do not bend the legs in order to fit them to another bike - legs can break. Do not transport the bike with installed mapboard at the roof of your car.
